When Healing Carries You
I never imagined that I would be living the life I am living now, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

My name is Marah Pope, and I am from Branson, Missouri. When I first heard that KCBC would be opening, I had no plans of attending. I didn’t think that Bible College was my path. Since I was a little girl, I had plans to go to college and become a nurse and eventually a doctor. I wanted to help sick people get well. But in 2018 I watched the SWBC from home and I heard Brother Jesse Duplantis talking about KCBC. My spirit leaped and I heard the Lord say, “You’re going to go there.”
I was only a sophomore in high school when I heard that direction from the Lord.
As the next two years went by, confusion tried to creep in. Opportunities for other paths looked so nice. Upon graduation, I was to receive a two-year scholarship to the local community college for my academic achievements. The enemy made it look like a God sent. Opposing thoughts would come like, “You could get your degree, become and nurse, and then go to KCBC.” It was then that I heard the Lord, “You don’t have the desire to be a nurse, you have the desire to see people healed.”
At that moment, I knew what I was supposed to do.
I dropped every other idea and ran hard towards God’s plan for me and that included KCBC.

I was led to attend Campus Days in 2020 and it was confirmation. I felt like I was home. When I returned from Campus Days, everything started shutting down due to COVID-19. For my family, that brought concerns about me coming to KCBC. They said, “Maybe you should wait another year until things go back to normal.” I couldn’t wait. I had a word from the Lord, and I was determined to obey. I kept taking steps towards moving and God worked out every detail. My job, my apartment, finances, a car, and so much more were just falling right into place.
Fast forward to KCBC, it was like a dream from the start. I could hardly wait to get up in the morning to go to school. My classmates and my instructors were God-ordained. Not a day went by that I didn’t receive something from the Lord through them.
I truly believe that when God calls people to a certain place, He is setting them in the Body as He sees fit.

It wasn’t random people doing the same thing, but every person was divinely orchestrated to be at KCBC in the same class. Because of that, I made many faith friends.
The instructors were top notch! They were all knowledgeable and Spirit-led on the topic they taught. I left school every day with a renewed sense of awe. I learned things about the Lord that I never knew before, and it brought me into a deeper place of thanksgiving to Him. Not only that, I had testimony after testimony.
During my second month at KCBC, I fell and severely injured my ankle. I couldn’t move my toes or ankle and I was in a walking boot.
But God!

I recovered in less than two weeks when the doctor said it would take six weeks or longer! I received financial miracles and so much more. When I truly realized all that He has done and provided for me, I can’t help but live a free life. And now that I have that revelation, I can teach it to others.
Before I tell you what I am doing now, I find it fitting to tell you my mission statement. I really appreciate that KCBC sends you out with a purpose. My mission is to cultivate passion for prayer and worship in the Body of Christ. I am currently working at KCM as an Administrative Assistant to the Prayer Director, Ms. Iva Bennett.
While I was in KCBC, I was a part-time Prayer Minister, and we were asked to develop our goals. That was in December of 2021, and the Lord told me to put my current job on my vision list. In January of 2022, the door opened, and I stepped into it! It was completely supernatural! Not only am I fulfilling the prayer aspect of my mission statement, I have the privilege of serving on the Bridge and EMIC Worship Teams. It is truly one of my greatest honors.
Without KCBC, I can honestly say, I would not be qualified for these positions.

KCBC taught me that you have to do everything by the Spirit. This has tremendously affected my role. In my day-to-day work, I still have to listen to the Holy Spirit on what to do, how to do it, and when to do it. I also have to be led on what I’m singing and how to sing it. That’s never going to stop. There are real people that this work affects. I realized that this is different than anything I was ever taught working for the world. I can’t work from the flesh anymore. Everything I do, even if it’s sending an email, must be done with the help of the Spirit.
Now, I also have the privilege of serving at KCBC as an Instructors Assistant.
I am truly honored to be an alumnus of this tremendous college and my desire is to help others fulfill that same dream.
KCBC is not only a place to get an education, but a place to receive impartation and revelation for any and every assignment you have been called to. KCBC is training up individuals of every age to fulfill the call of God on their lives, and that can be you.
No matter what career path you want to take, I recommend KCBC.

We need faith-filled doctors, lawyers, teachers, and business owners. May I even say, we need faith-filled ministers again. Even if KCBC wasn’t in your plan, God knows exactly what you need. I guess you could say I was fulfilling my dream anyway, even if I didn’t know it at first.
